JFS’s Holocaust Survivor Support programs ensure Survivors live their remaining years with the dignity, respect and care they deserve.

Services

Our commitment to Holocaust Survivors is deep and steadfast. Since 1996, we have provided thousands of survivors support and services to give comfort and strength. Today, we serve aging survivors, many who are frail and continue to bear the scars of the Holocaust. Many Survivors are without family and have social, financial and medical needs. Community support is a big component of the program as well.

Services include:

  • Help with reparations claims
  • Care Coordination
  • Counseling
  • Financial assistance for income-eligible individuals, including subsidies for Lifeline, home care, case management, dental care or other needs
  • Personal care light housekeeping, home cleaning, transportation
  • Programming includes:
  • Shalom Café – a weekly drop-in program with social outing opportunities.
  • Arts Programming – Guided trips to local arts and entertainment venues.
  • Art Therapy, Music Therapy and more
