Shalom Task Force is a national organization that promotes healthy marriages and peaceful family relationships.

Lisa Twerski LCSW received her Masters in Social Work from New York University and has advanced certification in pre-marital counseling and education. She has been working with victims of domestic violence for over twenty years and has held numerous positions in and out of the Jewish community. She maintains a private practice in Brooklyn and lectures locally and nationally on many subjects including domestic abuse, marriage, and dating. Mrs. Twerski is the author of I’m So Confused, Am I Being Abused?

David Kohn LCSW CASAC earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Talmudic Law from Ner Israel Rabbinical College. Additionally he earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University. Mr. Kohn is a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) and has also received advanced clinical training in clinical supervision, gambling addiction treatment, sex addiction counseling, trauma work, and the integration of mindfulness in psychotherapy. He is a personal practitioner of mindfulness, and believes balanced self-care is our greatest adult responsibility as well as challenge. He serves on the Executive Board of Nefesh International and maintains a private practice in the NY area.
