February 21, 2014 (Beachwood) – JFSA has a new program to help eligible individuals and families get the healthy foods they need for daily living. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which is generously funded by a grant from the Walmart Foundation and with the support of the Association of Jewish Family & Children’s Agency (AJFCA) and Mazon, is the largest program in the domestic hunger safety net and one of the nation’s strongest defenses against hunger and poverty.

SNAP also provides economic benefits to communities. Every $5 in new SNAP benefits generates almost twice that amount in Economic activity for local retailers and the community, boosting job and overall economic growth. For more information about the SNAP program contact Lisa Weitzman at 216.504.2615.
