Unlike other providers, JFSA’s home cleaners are trained to identify potentially dangerous situations, such as a client’s declining health or forgetfulness. For example, if an oven is on, a door has been ajar all night, or there’s spoiled food sitting on the counter, our trained cleaners will bring it to the attention of JFSA  staff.

Our home cleaners are trained and supervised to clean your home efficiently and to your satisfaction.Every cleaner is insured and bonded, carries worker’s compensation, has undergone criminal background and driver’s license checks, and is regularly supervised by JFSA professional staff.

Services are private pay and subsidies are available for income-eligible Holocaust Survivors.

  • Monday – Friday  8:30 am – 6:00 pm
  • Limited Weekend and Evening Hours Available

COST: $27.50/hr.  Minimum of 2 hours; maximum 4 hours per appointment. Seasonal discounts available, please call for details!

HOW TO SCHEDULE A CLEANING

  • By reservations only. Call 216-378-3437 any time between 9:30 am until 4:00 pm. Every effort will be made to honor reasonable requests.  Availability is limited! After 4:00 pm, please leave a message. Your call will be returned by the end of the next business day.
  • Before calling, please have the following appointment information available:
    • 1) Your name, the address receiving services, and a good phone number to reach you
    • 2) the preferred date, time, and desired duration of your appointment
    • 3) any recurrences and/or frequency

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Upon scheduling your cleaning appointment, the start and end times your cleaner’s name will be verified.
  • Your designated cleaner will be given your contact number to reach out prior to their arrival to confirm the appointment. They may also reach out if there is difficulty finding the residence.
  • All cleaners will bring company provided cleaning equipment, including a vacuum. If you would prefer them to use your cleaning supplies, they may do so upon your request.
  • Cleaners are not permitted to accept gratuities. If you would like to support the program, please reach out to the office to learn more.
  • Cleaners are not permitted to clean a residence without the scheduled client present in the home. If you need to leave for any time, the cleaner is not permitted to remain in the residence unattended.

Upon completion of the appointment, you will be presented with a client record for you to sign and will then be given a carbon copy as a receipt to keep. Billing will be mailed on a monthly basis, but auto pay options are available. Please alert the staff upon scheduling your appointment if that is your preference.

  • Wipe down all appliance exteriors
  • Clean stovetop, burners and drip pans
  • Wipe down range hood
  • Clean microwave interior and exterior
  • Sanitize counters
  • Sanitize sinks and faucets
  • Clean and sanitize back splashes
  • Wiped down cabinet doors interior and exterior
  • Wipe down cabinet hinges and sanitize knobs
  • Polish cabinets as needed
  • Load dishwasher
  • Changes towels
  • Wash, sanitize and polish floor by hand
  • Vacuum carpet
  • Sanitize sinks and faucets
  • Sanitize toilet interior and exterior
  • Sanitize all tile areas
  • Clean/Sanitize shower/tub and surround
  • Disinfect shower head and tub faucets
  • Wash, sanitize and polish floor by hand
  • Change towels
  • Vacuum carpet if applicable
  • Shake out throw rugs if applicable
  • Wipe down window sills and tracks
  • Clean window glass (within reach)
  • Dust curtains/curtain rods
  • Straighten rooms
  • Dust wall decorations/knickknacks
  • Cobweb removal
  • Polish furniture, mantles & built-ins
  • Vacuum furniture
  • Sweep hard floors/tile
  • Vacuum carpeting
  • Edge vacuum carpeting
  • Hand wash hard floors
  • Dust fans/lighting fixtures
  • Clean molding/vent exteriors
  • Sanitize all door knobs
  • Clean interior doors
  • Shake out or vacuum all throw rugs
  • Empty all wastebaskets
