JFSA’s newest service for older adults is “JFSA Shuttle On The Go!”, a handicapped accessible van designed to help clients who need easy transportation around town (within a 15 mile round trip maximum). It can be used for most anything: medical appointments, personal appointments, visiting loved ones in hospitals and nursing homes, grocery shopping, and even social appointments. Best of all, there is NO COST to use the shuttle for any JFSA client who meets these requirements (Priority is given to clients who live independently):
  • Does not drive (consideration is given to clients who drive but cannot drive due to a procedure–eye exam– or due to inclement weather)
  • Not eligible for transportation services through Passport/MyCare Ohio
  • Not eligible for transportation services through any Holocaust Survivor subsidy
Rides must be scheduled at least 5 business days in advance.  Call the JFSA Transportation Line at 216.504.2626 between 9am and 1:45pm.
With the winter weather coming soon, this is a service that can really help people who need to get around town.
