December 5, 2014 (Beachwood) – Jewish Family Service Association is seeking volunteers to deliver kosher home delivered meals on Tuesdays and/or Thursday mornings. Volunteers pick-up meals at Myers Apartments in Beachwood and deliver to elderly and disabled adults on the near east side of Cleveland. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a friend to share in the deliveries and friendly visits. Some light lifting and possible stairs. Volunteers will need to have a valid Ohio driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance.
Volunteers also sought as workout buddies for participants in JFSA’s Horvitz YouthAbility program for disabled and at-risk youth on Thursday evenings or Sunday mornings. Activities include walking, jogging, biking, and stretching. Adults and minors welcome.
