November 26, 2014 (Beachwood) – Jewish Family Service Association is pleased to announce Mike Klein as the Recipient of the 2014 Norman J. Danzig Memorial Award. This award, named in honor of former JFSA Board Member Norman J. Danzig (of blessed memory), is presented to a leader of the agency that has displayed an exemplary commitment to the community and the promise of continued leadership.
Mike was recently appointed to the JFSA Board in 2013, having previously served as a board member and officer of PLAN of Northeast Ohio. Mike’s work with the development of the Cognitive Enhancement Therapy (CET) program at PLAN led to the establishment of the Center for Cognition and Recovery, LLC, JFSA’s newest affiliate, which has successfully expanded to 30 different sites in 10 states. He now serves as the Chair of its Board of Managers. Mike is also a member of the JFSA Care at Home Committee and the Finance Committee, and has agreed to take on a new role as Assistant Treasurer of the JFSA Board of Directors. In the general community, Mike serves as a Committee member for Growth Capital Corporation and as an Accounting Advisory Board member for Cleveland State University. He is a partner at Ciuni & Panichi, an audit and accounting organization, and heads up the firm’s Not-For-Profit Group.
Jewish Family Service Association of Cleveland, a private non-profit organization, serves to strengthen families and individuals in both the Jewish and general communities in Northeast Ohio.
