Jewish Family Service Association announces the opening of Alyson’s Place, a primary care medical clinic located within the Drost Family Center on Commerce Park Road. Alyson’s Place provides affordable quality health care to JFSA clients, in addition to the full complement of other services and supports they receive through JFSA. The clinic is staffed by a primary care physician and advanced nurse practitioner. Clients can access all of the services typically available from a physician’s office, such as lab tests, well patient visits, immunizations, and EKGs. Individuals have access by referral to specialty services within University Hospitals, if needed. Care is coordinated through JFSA’s recently implemented electronic medical health record system. The establishment of Alyson’s Place could not have happened without a special collaboration between JFSA, family members, local business leaders, and health care institutions. The collaboration was led by JFSA Life Directors, Myrna and Jim Spira and the clinic is named in memory of their daughter, Alyson Spira Arenberg. Support from Margo and Bob Roth, Will Sukenik, Thomas Galvin, Dr. David Rosenberg, University Hospitals health system, and The Mount Sinai Health Care Foundation was also indispensable.
