May 12, 2015 (Beachwood)Jewish Family Service Association (JFSA) is pleased to announce Simon Brown as the Recipient of the 2015 JFSA Young Adult Volunteer Leadership Award.

Simon, a senior at Shaker Heights High School, is a valued member of JFSA’s Know Abuse™ Teen Dating Outreach program. “Simon embodies this award’s criteria of exhibiting initiative, leadership, and the empowerment of peers,” explains Koby Picker, a former Know Abuse™ cast member and current assistant theater director for the program. “His positive energy and insight brings out the best in his peers.”

The Young Adult Volunteer Leadership Award recognizes and encourages a young adult leader who has made significant contributions to the community through his or her volunteer work in JFSA programs and whose qualities of character, leadership and responsibility have been outstanding.
