Case Manager-Family Violence Services

Description

JFSA is seeking a Case Manager, LSW to provide case management and advocate for victims of domestic violence.

Responsibilities include:

-Assess the lethality of a client's situation and provide education and safety planning services.

-Provide assessment and treatment planning needs

-Provide support counseling and crisis intervention to clients

-Link clients to appropriate services within the agency and in the greater community

-Advocates for clients within the justice system

-Facilitates domestic violence women's support group

-Maintains appropriate documentation

-Maintain communication and outreach with relevant community organizations and systems

-Demonstrates awareness of, follows all safety policies and procedures, and adheres to all recommended safe work practices.

-Also contributes to the control of hazards in specified area of responsibility.

-Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.

-May need to transport clients in personal vehicle on occassional basis.

 

Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

-At least one year's post degree experience, prefer domestic violence casework

-Bachelors in social work, or related field required

-Masters degree in social work, or related field preferred

-Social Work or Counseling license with LISW preferred

-Able to transport clients on an occasional basis

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Interviewing and assessments skills

Knowledge of community resources

Fluency in Russian preferred

Able to work with culturally diverse populations
