TAPP/LEAP Collaboration
TAPP works with Linking Employment
Abilities and Potential (LEAP), an organization affiliated with Lutheran
Metropolitan Ministry to assist individuals with disabilities to find and
obtain employment. The program receives funding from The Cleveland
Foundation, the CCCMHB and private donations, with fees for service from the
Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission (ORSC) and the CCBMRDD. Both
programs offer employment services to individuals with physical
disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, paraplegia, etc., individuals with
developmental disabilities, individuals with serious mental illness or
individuals with a dual diagnosis. Contact
Pat Price at 216.696.2716 ext. 118

Charlotte Goldberg Computer Center
The Charlotte Goldberg Computer Center offers clients
the opportunity to enhance current computer skills or learn about computers
from the ground up. Instructor led and instructor provided sessions are
available for Windows Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet. In
addition, two hour classes are available.
Volunteer Opportunities
The YouthAbility Program is a unique program that integrates students
who have a disability into their community through volunteer work. Service
to the community is an excellent way to build life skills and improve job
readiness. The YouthAbility Program is predicated on the philosophy that
volunteering can serve as a bridge for people with disabilities to full
inclusion and participation in our community.
The YouthAbility Program has been in existence since 2001. Since that
time, YouthAbility volunteers have been referred to volunteer opportunities
throughout the Greater Cleveland area. Participation in YouthAbility fosters
civic responsibility, strengthens the ties that bind us together as a people
and provides skills and job readiness training to those who commit to service.
YouthAbility is a grant funded program that works with individuals between
the ages of 14-26. For more information, or to refer someone to
YouthAbility, please call Heidi Solomon at 216.378.3434.
