KOSHER HOME DELIVERED MEALS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What type of meals do you provide? A full dinner is provided: soup, entrée (beef/chicken/fish), two side dishes, dessert, bread, margarine wrapped separately and a carton of milk.
Are your meals kosher? Yes, they are prepared under the supervision of a rabbi.
Where are the meals prepared? Meals are prepared at The Myers Apartments on the Menorah Park campus.
Are the meals fresh or frozen? They are freshly cooked and delivered refrigerated. They simply need reheating.
Are the meals microwavable? Yes, they are. You can also reheat your meals in the oven.
How will I know what food I will get each day? Once a month you will receive a menu of the month's meal selections.
When are the meals delivered? Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9am and 12pm.
How many meals can I order? We deliver 2 dinners on Tuesdays and 3 on Thursdays, so you have a choice of ordering 2, 3,or 5 dinners a week.
Who can request meals? People who have difficulty shopping or preparing meals.
If I have high blood pressure, are low sodium diet meals available? All meals are low sodium.
If I am diabetic, are diabetic meals available? Meals are approved by a dietician for those who have mild diabetes.
If I am allergic to certain foods, can I get a substitute? With an order from your doctor, we will make the appropriate changes.
What areas do you serve? Most eastern suburbs of Cuyahoga County
What is the cost of the meal? $8.91 per meal
My parents have limited income, will Medicare/Medicaid pay for the meals? JFSA is a provider for Passport, Options, Ohio Home Care and The Older American Act.
