HELP-LINE -
Peace of Mind for Living Independently
Help-Line
is a medical system which enables a person to get emergency help at
home. The Help-Line monitoring unit is connected through the existing
telephone line. The individual wears a help button, either as a pendant
or on a wristband. In an emergency, the subscriber pushes the Help
button and a signal is sent to the 24 hour monitoring center at Philips
Lifeline. A trained Personal Response Associate will call out to the
person to determine what kind of help maybe needed. If the Associate is
unable to hear the individual, a family member, neighbor, or the local
police or fire department is contacted to assist. If there is a true
emergency and the person is transported to a hospital, family is
contacted, even if they live out of town. Help-Line provides security
and peace of mind for the individual and family. Philips Lifeline is the
only medical alert system approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
